Started by volunteers at the Cornwall Community Foundation, the event quickly grew and grew to become a favourite way of celebrating Cornish life on St Piran’s Day (always March 5th if you’re wondering!) for those lucky enough to live here.
The Trelawny Shout is now its own independent, joyously sprawling thing. Anyone can hold one, anyone can join in, and any charity can benefit.
One song, one night, but thousands of voices raising the roofs of pubs and venues up and down the land to celebrate Cornwall. ‘Tis a lovely thing!
